The Foundation Board plays many critical roles in the management of the foundation; chief among them ensuring that all donations, large and small, are applied to projects and services that have the most impact in our community.
This month, we’d like to introduce Board Member Remi Cohen.
Why have you chosen to be a Board Member?
I was personally touched by the work that hospice provided a family member. And that experience inspired me to join the board, to provide greater access to the organization’s amazing expertise and services in palliative care, hospice, adult day care, and more.
Since joining the Board, what are you most proud of?
I am a recent addition to the board, but I am proud of sharing the Community Health Foundation’s important work in our community with my network and increasing visibility of the organization through new friends and partnerships.
Tells us something most people don’t know about you?
Before I found the wine industry, I was on track to go to medical school. It was after I received my undergraduate degree in biochemistry that I decided to move into plant biology and viticulture for graduate school. Working with the Foundation allows me to be connected to the healing and medical fields in our community in a rewarding way.
