Honoring Choices Napa Valley invites you to join us for a screening and discussion of the PBS FRONTLINE film Being Mortal, which is based on the best-selling novel by Atul Gawande, MD.
This film builds a bridge between people who face terminal illness and the doctors who care for them. It illustrates the value of a patient’s personal choice, decision-making, and the need for discussing them with a physician to ensure the medical care received responds to the desires of the patients and their families.
After screening this thought-provoking documentary, attendees will be able to explore what they learned and how to take control of their own healthcare decisions. This is a two-hour event.
All are welcome, admission is free and refreshments will be served.
Honoring Choices Napa Valley was founded 2013 when a coalition of healthcare, social service, legal, government and civic organizations and individuals who were committed to promoting Advance Care Planning (ACP) organized to promote informed healthcare decision-making at all stages of life, and particularly the end of life. Collabria Care is proud to be a founding member of this coalition.
