The Providence Community Health Foundation Napa Valley is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Basayne to its Board of Directors. With extensive experience in business coaching, banking, and community service, he is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Foundation.
Basayne currently serves as the Lead Business Advisor at the Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center, where he has worked since 2009. In addition to his work at the Development Center, he runs Wine Country Planning Services, a consulting firm specializing in land use planning, permitting, and entitlement.
With a background that spans corporate, investment, and community banking, as well as luxury residential development, Basayne’s diverse skill set will undoubtedly prove invaluable in helping the Foundation achieve its goals. His commitment to community service is evident from his previous roles as Chair of the Napa County Planning Commission, Vice Chair of the Napa City Planning Commission, and his involvement with the Napa County Tax Assessment Appeals Board.
Basayne is also actively engaged in the local business community as a member of the Executive Board of the Napa Chamber of Commerce and a past-president and current Membership Chair of Napa Sunrise Rotary. He holds a BA from UC Berkeley, an MBA from St. Mary’s College, and is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School.
Commenting on his appointment, Basayne said, “Our lives and relationships are precious and fragile, and we are at our best when we help others find purpose, comfort, and peace. I am passionate about serving our community and excited to contribute to the Providence Community Health Foundation Napa Valley as we work to assist those making significant quality of life decisions.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael Basayne to our Board of Directors,” said Will Marcencia, Board Chair. “His impressive background in business and commitment to community service will be great assets to our organization. We look forward to working together to further our mission."
Basayne has lived in Napa Valley for 40 years. He and his wife Royce Ann enjoy five grown sons and two grandsons. An avid hiker and skier, he loves traveling and exploring both familiar and unfamiliar places.
