On May 21, Collabria Hospice hosted its Annual Memorial Service for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The service is designed to offer comfort and support to people of all ages in the grieving process. After a short service, attendees wrote heart-felt messages, wishes and prayers on multicolored ribbons, which then adorned the garden. Many members of Collabria Hospice staff and volunteers were in attendance to welcome the families and loved ones to the service.
Apart from the Annual Memorial Service, Collabria Hospice offers a weekly drop-in grief counseling session to any adult member of our community who has experienced loss, regardless of whether they have availed of Collabria Hospice services or not. The group meets from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays at our 414 South Jefferson Street, Napa, location.
Collabria Hospice also offers more structured, eight-week grief support groups on a regular basis. The next Wednesday series will begin on September 7, and the Monday series will begin on September 12.
While aspects of the grieving process are inherently difficult or uncomfortable, we offer the assurance that you will not have to navigate the stages of grief alone.
